I don’t believe in putting people in boxes and clearly I feel the same about careers which is probably how I ended up working in so many different areas. My work spans PR, writing, relationship coaching and poetry, which on the surface might look like very different things. But they’re actually all connected, because they all have one thing in common: how we communicate, and what happens when we don’t.
My Story
I’ve always loved people, words and writing. As a kid my head was always buried in a book or creating a story. I went to university and studied journalism as my main subject but each term we could take modules from other courses and I always chose psychology (because I wanted to understand what makes us all tick). My first job upon graduating was as a journalist and then I quickly moved into public relations and writing, working with businesses to shape their stories and communicate them clearly.
As time has gone on I’ve realised that whether in life whether personal or business the same challenges seem to crop up time and time again; the things left unsaid, miscommunication and people struggling to say what they really mean.
It was this realisation that led me to expand my work into other areas that made the most of my talents. So I studied for two years to be a coach so I could help people navigate relationships and conversations that feel difficult or stuck and I started writing bespoke poetry, to enable people to tell others how they feel, as even if they don’t have the exact words to express themselves, I do.
And into longer-form writing, including articles and two books I’m currently working on.
What Connects It All
Whether I’m working with a brand, an individual, or writing something deeply personal, the aim is always the same:
To put what you want to say into word that sound like you and to help you use them.
Because when you can express yourself clearly:
your business becomes easier to understand
your relationships become easier to navigate
and the things that matter most don’t stay unspoken
How I Work
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches. Some situations need structure and strategy. Others need space, reflection, and the right questions. My job is to meet you where you are and help you move forward, with clarity, honesty and intention.
A More Personal Note
Outside of work, it’s probably no surprise that others would describe me a s a people person. I’m someone who notices the small things, conversations, moments, the way people say (or don’t say) what they mean. That’s what shapes everything I do. Because most of the time people don’t struggle with words they struggle with finding the right ones.
If something you’ve read here resonates, whether it’s for your business, your relationship, or something more personal.
I’d love to hear from you.
